Citizens comments: Resident Terry Larsen asked if anything would be done about 305th Ave, if 305th could be striped, and if building a town hall was still a possibility. Supervisor Sundet answered that the board was aware of the issues with 305th and the hope was that it would settle with time, and that striping the road had not been discussed or considered, and that the building of a new town hall had been indefinitely taken off the list of possible projects. There were no more comments.
Road Report: It was noted that gravelling would begin later in the week. The road tour report which was typed and printed by Supervisor Friesen was reviewed and approved by the board.
Old Business:
During the road tour, the Board of Supervisors voted to award the bid for the W Pickerel Lake Road project to Mark Sand & Gravel.
The attorney advised to board to get surveys for the easement on NW Pickerel Lake Road. This will be tabled until June’s meeting.
There was a brief discussion regarding the trailer house that had been parked and apparently abandoned on Gravelle Road. When the county was called, they asked about the policy in Erie Township. After discussing our snow removal policy, it was decided to amend the section addressing the removal of vehicles to read: “to remove any vehicles, any structures or any other objects”. A motion was made by Supervisor Sundet and seconded by Supervisor Friesen to amend and approve the policy. Motion carried. Becky Renner will amend the policy.
Dan Gustner will try to clean the culvert plugged up by the beavers. Scott Mackner was a name suggested to help with taking care of the beavers.
New Business:
Residents on NW Pickerel Road have asked about dust control It will be graveled this year. After additional discussion regarding roads that would be sprayed, in addition to the roads that will continue to be sprayed, a motion was made by Supervisor Sundet and seconded by Supervisor Friesen that 330th would not be sprayed this year, that the entire Tiediman Road would be sprayed and that 320th would receive both gravel and dust control. Motion carried.
ARPA Coordinator Deb Zachariason reported that the mandated ARPA report for 2024 had been filed. She noted that the SAMS number needed to be renewed and questioned if the board wanted her to renew it. Since it is used for other things such as applying for grants, the board told her to go ahead and renew it.
Supervisor Sundet was going to check with the county to get a list of names of contractors who could do both weed spraying and ditch mowing.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Supervisor Sundet and seconded by Supervisor Friesen to adjourn the meeting and the meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Karen Eifealdt, clerk
