Road Report:

Corbin has completed spraying for dust control and road stabilization within the township. Supervisor Sundet has asked L & M to spray ditches for weeds and clarified that the ditch mowing will be done by Theo Blauert this year.

Supervisor Vareberg commented on the five year township road costs comparison that he and Treasurer Renner have been working on. He explained that it would help answer questions from township residents about road costs. The comparison will be completed by the July meeting and will be on the agenda to be discussed.

Old Business:

Regarding the NW Pickerel Lake Road easement, a survey should be completed to determine a described line for the road. After a brief discussion, a motion was made by Supervisor Sundet and seconded by Supervisor Friesen to authorize Supervisor Vareberg to contact three surveyors for quotes, accept the lowest quote and to proceed. Motion carried.

New Business:

Resident Kevin Disse presented a request for 322nd Ave that the township take over its maintenance. There would be some issues with the grader getting in there and being able to turn around. Mr. Disse has discussed this with all his neighbors and there is one resident willing to let the grader turn around in his driveway. Discussion included getting it to a spec where the township could maintain it and developing a township policy regarding requests such as this one. Dan Gustner and Dale Renner will go and take a look at the road and possibly have a county engineer do the same. It will be placed on the agenda for the July meeting.

Supervisor Sundet received a call from Aaron at Lakes Corner Liquor regarding the recycling bins and the mess behind them. There was a brief discussion with a suggestion of installing a fence behind the recycling bins with the township covering the cost of it. Supervisor Sundet will call Aaron and it will be placed on the July agenda.

There was some discussion about special assessment districts on S Cotton Lake Rd. After some discussion, the suggestion was made that the township could be a resource or suggest possible resources, but to leave it up to the residents to pursue.

It was discovered that a former employee accidentally got paid twice for work done for the township. After some discussion, it was decided that a letter would be sent to the former employee. Supervisor Sundet and Treasurer Renner will work on completing that.

Mary Seaberg asked about getting more gravel on a section of 324th so that she could proceed with dust control. Dale will go and gravel.

There being no further business, a motion was made by Supervisor Vareberg and seconded by Supervisor Sundet to adjourn the meeting and the meeting was adjourned at 7:22.

Respectfully submitted,

Karen Eifealdt, Clerk

Amos Mosher
