Road Report:

L & M will be spraying for weed control in ditches.

Residents on Sandy Beach Road were interested in dust control and were given Corbin’s  contact information.

On the minimum maintenance portion of NW Pickerel Lake Road, some residents were not in favor of the idea of moving the road over 30 to straighten the curve so the recommendation is to survey as is.

Dale Renner noted there are 10 loads of gravelling left to do.

Old Business:

There was one written quote received in the amount of $4764 to paint the town hall. The board will reach out to get some more quotes for painting the hall next summer.

The fence for the recycling bins was measured and will take about 80-100 feet of fencing.

Supervisor Sundet will get in touch with Mark Palm to discuss cleaning up some of the trees that are close to the road on W Pickerel Lake Rd to work to pay off the double payment that was paid to him.

Treasurer Renner attended a meeting regarding fire contracts with the City of Detroit Lakes.  Our contract goes through 2026 and will be going up 10% this next year.  After some discussion, it was decided that Supervisor Friesen and Supervisor Vareberg would work together to look at options for 2027.

New Business:

Clerk Eifealdt presented the Board with the 2025 Township Road Mileage Certification which is due on November 1st. After a brief discussion of the roads and the miles and noting that no changes had been made during the year, a motion was made by Suervisor Friesen and secnded by Supervisor Sundet to approve the certification as is.  Motion carried and it was signed by Chairman Sundet and Clerk Eifealdt.  Clerk Eifealdt will get it to the Becker County Highway Dept.

Other:

Terry Mackner brought up the steep ditch on 305th Ave. where the truck had gone in earlier this year and the possible risk of someone going in and getting injured.  He offered to donate as much clay as needed to fill in about 100 – 150 feet of the ditch.  The supervisors will take a look at it and decide.

There being no further business, a motion was made by Supervisor Vareberg and seconded by Supervisor Sundet to adjourn the meeting and the meeting was adjourned at 7:04 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Karen Eifealdt, Clerk
