Citizen’s Comments:

  • Cindy Sims emailed Supervisors 7/30/2026 – In her email she states the home owners: 1. Plow their own road in the winter; and 2. Pay for their own dust control – can the homeowners install speed bumps? Supervisor Friesen replied to have her attend our August 4 meeting, but she was unable to be here tonight. Ms. Sims is located at the end of NW Pickerel Lake Road (Erie/Holmesville Line). Our snowplow operator said that we do plow that road and installing speed bumps would make it impossible to continue plowing and grading. Supervisor Friesen stated that he will contact Ms. Sims with this information. Township will buy the “Children at Play” signs and have installed for them to hopefully slow down traffic.

  • Terry Larsen still has no mailbox installed since December 10. The township will purchase swinging box posts and have installed by Wyatt Dunham.

Road Report:

  • There seem to be a number of home owners putting items on the end of their driveways hoping it will be taken away by others. At 33724 S Cotton Lake Road there have been mattresses and bed frames there for about 6 weeks. Supervisor Friesen will send them a letter giving them 30 days to dispose of them or the township will and the owner will be assessed the cost.

  • 16099 Gravelle Lane – cul-de-sac – the first driveway is washing badly and everything on the road is washing into the ditch. Supervisors Vareberg and Hough will try to contact the homeowner about maybe cost-sharing with him to keep his driveway in good shape also.

  • Hubble Pond Road – Put project on hold for now.

New Business:

Planning & Zoning: Kyle Vareberg, Variance for home construction

Other:

  • MAT District 9 Meeting – August 17 – Underwood, MN

  • Election judges are set for Primary Election

  • Approval to appoint Karen Stenerson-Eifealdt as Deputy Clerk

  • Support increase of pay for Wyatt Dunham for painting the townhall

There being no further business of the regular meeting, a motion was made by Supervisor Vareberg, seconded by Supervisor Hough and carried, without a dissenting vote, to adjourn the meeting at 7:02 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
